Pioneers supplied, installed, connected and commissioned medium voltage frequency inverters for kiln EP-Fan motor with power 1050KW @ 6600V. The existing motor was slip ring motor, and it was designed to be started via large resistor bank.

DISADVANTEGES OF THE OLD SYSTEM:

- Problems in motor slip rings

- Motor needed regular maintenance

- Speed changes in six steps and is not accurate.

- High starting current

ADVANTEGES OF THE NEW SYSTEM:

- Motor rings were short circuited, so all problems due to rings and brushes were eliminated

- Speed changes became smooth and accurate

- Starting current is within the motor rated current
