PC – Based Monitoring System For Power Plant #7

The aim of this project was to supply, engineer, install, test and commission a PC–Based monitoring system for MWATT, MVAR, VOLT, Hz in the power plant PP7. The system takes the MWAT values from 11 Signal conditioner connected to 11 feeders, and the MVAR values from 11 signal conditioners connected to 11 feeders, as well as the VLOT and Hz signals. These signals are Acquired and transmitted to the PC in order to make the required calculations, scaling and summations.

The total values for the MWATT, MVAR, VOLT and Hz is displayed on a large Plasma screen in the main control room. At the same time, the information is transmitted to the Chart recorder in order to graphically record variations of values with time.
